Reliance One’s Vice President of Recruitment and Operations, Rob Wicker and his daughter Libby, starting the race out strong.
Auburn Hills, MI – On Sunday, October 11th, Reliance One hosted their first annual 5k Donut Dash to promote employee wellness and to raise money for the Rainbow Connection as part of our R1 Impact initiative.
The event featured a costume contest, first place prizes, and of course cider and donuts. Jennifer Petritis, Human Resources Coordinator, played a large part in the planning of the event. “I was extremely impressed with the turnout at this event. We exceeded our fundraising expectations and participants were able to reach personal goals by completing the race alongside of colleagues and family. I am looking forward to a 2nd Annual 5k Donut Dash!”
Reliance One started R1 Impact in 2013 to make a difference in the communities that we work in while developing and growing personally and professionally. Last year, Reliance One employees raised enough funds to sponsor a wish for the Rainbow Connection which sent a young girl and her family on a dream trip to Walt Disney World.
R1 Impact would not be possible without the generosity of everyone who continuously participates in Reliance One’s fundraising events.
